Elon Musk files to turn his space station into an official Texas city

Space-X has filed a formal petition to create the city of Starbase, Texas in Cameron County.

Over the past few years, Elon Musk has relocated much of Space-X's operations to the lonestar state, and now he wants to create a city in South Texas.

Hundreds of Space-X employees have recently taken the initiative to start gathering signature and filing an official petition requesting the county to hold an election on the matter.

In the public filing, it stated that if approved, the city’s mayor would be Space-X's current security manager, Gunnar Milburn. Additionally, the petition states that the current community has about 500 residents, many of them being Space-X employees.

Will we see Starbase, Texas come to fruition? Only time will tell, but we here at Native Texans will be following the project over the next several months.
